What happens if my flight is affected by adverse weather conditions?
If you are a Colorado regular, you’ll know that inclement weather can prevent landing in or taking off from Aspen, one of the highest elevation airports in the United States. When this happens, Aero will land at the nearest safe and suitable airport and arrange for a complimentary, shared shuttle transport to the Aspen airport your final destination at no additional cost.
Please note that our two primary diversion airports (Rifle and Eagle) are roughly a 1.5-hour drive from Aspen. All shuttle services are operated by CTS Aspen Limousine or another third party. We will coordinate with the shuttle operator to ensure your comfort and well-being, including ensuring low occupancy within the shuttle, and that all parties wear masks.
If you prefer private transport or a rental car, Aero can help arrange this, at your expense. Following your booking, our concierge will discuss the various options, as well as help coordinate any logistics, even when you are in the air. We will update you as we are aware of the weather situation via our app.
